Bare Bar — Building a Brand System
Packaging | Print | Experience Design
During my time at The Bare Bar, I worked closely with the founder to create a more consistent and thoughtful design language across their packaging and retail touchpoints. From small fixes to big-picture redesigns, every piece was reworked to align with the brand’s natural, minimal, and “no nasties” philosophy. Here's a look at how the system came together — one detail at a time.

Design Refinement Across SKUs
I started by refining the existing packaging files — correcting font sizes, aligning elements properly, and finalising colour palettes. These adjustments may seem small, but they laid the foundation for a more polished and cohesive brand system.

Lip Oil Monocarton Redesign
This involved a complete redesign of the Lip Oil monocarton. I revisited the layout, corrected alignment issues, and updated type treatments to create a cleaner, more premium look that better reflected the product’s simplicity and care.

Hamper Box Design Experience
I redesigned the hamper packaging for a more elevated unboxing experience. This included:
-
Developing a new branding system for the outer box
-
Designing a unique external wrapping technique to enhance the reveal
-
Adding wax seal stamps for a handcrafted, intentional touch
The result was a fully reimagined gifting experience that felt aligned with the brand’s tone and values.

In-Store Stickers for Monocarton Closure
For offline retail, I designed minimalist stickers to keep monocartons sealed. This tiny touch added both utility and a branding moment, helping Bare Bar maintain its thoughtful, tactile experience even in a store setting.
Outcome
Together, these touchpoints brought clarity, consistency, and a sense of calm to Bare Bar’s visual identity. The flexible system we created made it easier to scale designs while staying rooted in the brand’s core values.
